Format Doesn't Solve the Equation |

There was a time when many radio stations were vibrant and exciting and seemed sometimes bigger than life. These days many radio stations seem to simply go through the motions with little if any passion or enthusiasm.
It's no wonder stations have a hard time connecting with their market. It seems evident that the primary concern among many personalities and PDs is to "follow the format," not understanding that they are supposed to bring life to this schematic.
The format alone does not provide the ingredients of a successful product.

If fear of failure governs your decisions and your brainstorming, you'll develop small plans with tiny growth. Your focus will be on not failing, not on where it needs to be - growth.
Don't be afraid to think something through, look at all the possibilities, dream big dreams, and then make a logical and intelligent decision.
You can't do the same thing over and over the same way and expect new results. You'll only get new results if you try something new. | |
